Ingredients:
14 chicken wings
1 Tablespoon lime juice
1 Tablespoon vegetable oil
1 Tablespoon baking powder
1/4 cup of all purpose flour
1 Tablespoon onion powder
1 Tablespoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon pepper
For Sauce:
2 mangos (diced)
2 habanero peppers (diced)
3 teaspoons of lime juice
1 teaspoon of salt
1 teaspoon of pepper
1 teaspoon of paprika
2 garlic cloves (minced)
2 Tablespoons of honey
2 Tablespoons of apple cider vinegar
1 Tablespoon brown sugar
Directions:
Preheat oven to 425 degrees Fahrenheit
In a bowl, mix lime juice, oil, onion powder, garlic powder, chili powder, salt, pepper, and flour. Add chicken. Stir until chicken in evenly coated.
Place chicken on a lightly greased baking sheet for 20 minutes. Flip chicken and back for an additional 20 minutes.
While chicken is cooking, create sauce. In a food processor, add mangos, minced garlic, lime juice, and habanero peppers. Mix unit it forms a paste like consistency. Then add salt, pepper, paprika, honey, apple cider vinegar, and brown sugar. If sauce is too spicy, add more brown sugar. If it is not spicy enough, add more habanero pepper.
Add sauce to a saucepan on medium heat. Allow sauce to simmer for about 4-5 minutes.
When wings are done cooking, add wings to a bowl. Pour sauce over wings. Evenly coat wings in sauce and return to the baking sheet.
Place cooking sheet on top rack of oven and bake for another 3-5 minutes.
Serve hot.
